A diverse executive with broad expertise in information technology and marketing, Michael Voellinger is the Executive Vice President of Telwares, an Alsbridge company. In this role, he is responsible for all marketing and communications activities including market development, corporate communications, industry analyst and media relations, brand management and research. Michael also serves as the principal executive of the CIO Global Forum (www.cxogf.com), an exclusive group of technology and business leaders that meets twice yearly to drive an agenda of innovation, technology achievement and idea exchange. This program has achieved and maintains national recognition as one of the best leadership and management forums for enterprise CXOs.
A highly sought after industry analyst, Michael is widely respected for his approach to information technology management, innovative marketing and is considered a thought leader in mobile communications. Beginning April 2013, Michael will maintain a weekly blog on InfoWorld, focused on IT management and innovation for technology executives. His commentary has also been published in leading media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Investor’s Business Daily, CIO Magazine, Smartmoney.com, Dow Jones Newswire, CNN Money and other industry publications.
Prior to joining Telwares and the CIO Global Forum, Michael founded and served as Managing Partner of OES Telecom. An early pioneer in enterprise mobility, Michael drove the organization’s business development and product management functions, including one of the first hosted mobility management platforms. Prior to OES Telecom, Mr. Voellinger held key leadership positions with two of the nation’s largest wireless carriers.
Michael serves as a board advisor to the Hudson Fender Group, a unique company that helps industries, organizations and communities to drive innovation, enable collaboration, create new markets and generate new opportunities for revenue. Michael has also served as a board advisor to NuLite Technologies, where he focused on developing strategies for the distribution of cold cathode fluorescent lighting solutions to consumer and business markets.
Julie Stafford, Executive Director, The CIO Global Forum
Julie is the Executive Director of the CIO Global Forum and is responsible for all attendee recruitment, logistics and conference management activities. Ms. Stafford brings more than 7 years of experience as VP of Enterprise Solutions at Telwares – working with CIOs across a variety of industry verticals to deliver innovative solutions in strategic sourcing, next-gen networking, IT governance and cost-out activities. Prior to Telwares, Julie held several senior business development roles in the commercial and retail office supply business. She received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Kentucky, and a M.S. in Marine Sciences from the University of South Alabama.
